Introduction

At House of Wrytagan, we believe that to write a book is to bring life to a page. The same way God breathed life into us, you breathe life into your characters. You give substance to your settings. You make sense of your genres and dress them in an abundance of themes—you do all these things to make sure that your book comes to life.

But writing a book comes at a few costs: sleep, creativity, time for yourself, time for your family—you may not even make a livable wage until after the first year or two (sometimes longer). But those aren't reasons to give up on your dream. Those aren't reasons to give up on your dream that you had since you were eight, writing stories about princesses, knights, and dragons or aliens and spaceships. Those aren't reasons to give up on your dream if the thought of publishing your first book wraps itself up in your mind, entangling your thoughts, until it's the only thing you can think about.

"I want to be a writer."

Do you know what the term Amen means? It means, 'so be it' or 'let it be so'. Let this be your Amen.

There are amazing writer's around the world who stop writing because of the costs that it comes with, and because there are things that they just don't know and when they come to know them, they don't understand.

And that's why we're here. We won't be your crutch, but we want to be your guide, helping you take those first steps into your dream.

So don't let your pages die. Because we won't let you go.

Until next time, dear reader.

This is House of Wrytagan, signing off.
